π― Our Grade 1 learners recently celebrated an exciting milestone β 100 days in Grade 1 and 100 days smarter!
To mark the occasion, they enjoyed a fun-filled day at St George's Park with their parents and teachers. From running and playing to sharing laughs and making special memories, it was a wonderful way to celebrate how far they have come in their Grade 1 journey.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents, staff, and learners who made the day so enjoyable. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Atlas Security and the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro Police for their support and assistance in helping make the event safe and successful.
Here's to 100 days of learning, growing and achieving β and many more to come! π

Today, with heavy hearts, we join the world in honouring and celebrating the life of Maestro Abdullah Ibrahim, whose remarkable journey reached its final cadence yesterday.
Though he has departed, the music he gave us continues to echo across generationsβcarrying the stories, struggles, hopes, and dreams of a people. His melodies remain woven into the soul of our nation, reminding us that great artists never truly leave us. Their songs linger in the air, in our memories, and in the hearts of all who were moved by their art.
In tribute to his enduring legacy, we share our Wind Band performances of Mannenberg and Nelson Mandela, as well as a performance of *The Wedding*, featuring a solo by Siya Mtshingila, a former Greenwood pupil of 2024. All of these works were composed by Abdullah Ibrahim and stand as enduring reflections of his genius, humanity and love for his homeland.
May these performances serve as our humble farewellβa celebration of a life that enriched the world with beauty and meaning, and whose music will continue to sing long after the final note has faded. π

π’ REMINDER: A FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATION | 19 JUNE 2026
As fathers and father figures, we have a unique opportunity to shape lives, build confidence and create lasting memories. Whether you are a father, grandfather, stepfather, uncle, mentor, older brother, or simply a positive male role model, your presence, guidance and example can make all the difference in a child's journey.
In celebration of the upcoming Father's Day, we invite the men of our school community to come together for an afternoon of connection, fellowship, inspiration and quality time with our children. Together, we can strengthen the bonds that help our children feel safe, valued and supported.
Join us on *19 June 2026* as we celebrate the important role that fathers and father figures play in building strong families, a caring community and a brighter future for our children.
We are privileged to welcome *Ayanda Zaca*, award-winning TV and radio presenter, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, author and philanthropist, who will share an inspiring message before we enjoy a braai together.
Because raising great children is not a journey we take aloneβit takes a community of men willing to lead by example, stand together and invest in the next generation.
*It starts with us. It starts with you.*
*Tickets are R70 per father and child, and R35 per additional child. Each ticket includes a complimentary boerewors roll for every attendee.*
**Payments can be made via the Karri app (our preferred payment method) or tickets may be purchased at the school's Payments Office.**
Tickets are limited, so be sure to book early. ποΈπ
