The Covid-19 pandemic and the changes and adjustment has disrupted many lives, especially those of the students. It has impacted the educational structure at schools, colleges and universities tremendously. Students had to adapt to remote learning, which has been a very overwhelming experience to some students.
Since the start of the pandemic, a lot of issues regarding mental health and wellness has come to light. Studies have shown that not all students are coping with this new method of learning. In this issue, the main focus is on the students mental health, wellness and depression. Coping tips are shared and all information relating to World Wellness Day. A list of emergency contact details are available in this issue, should any student seek help.
On a lighter note, Charlotte Maxeke Residence celebrated their Charlotte Maxeke month in May and the Going Green initiative has also been put into action which has been a great success with the help of the students and organizational leaders.
