Linkside Environmental Club Makes a Difference!
The Linkside Environmental Club is proud to share the success of our Term 1 and Term 2 raffle fundraisers in support of Save-a-Pet.
Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our learners and staff, we raised enough funds to sponsor Queen B 🐱 and Gus 🐶, two resident animals at the shelter, for the 2027 year.
These funds will help provide food, care, and shelter for these deserving animals while supporting the vital work that Save-a-Pet does every day.
A special mention goes to Gus, who is currently up for adoption and looking for his forever home. We hope he soon finds the loving family he deserves.
This initiative is about more than fundraising—it is about teaching our learners the values of compassion, responsibility, and community involvement. Animal shelters rely heavily on public support, and through projects like these, our learners discover that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
Our annual raffle fundraiser has become a valued Linkside tradition, enabling us to give back to both animals in need and our wider community. We are incredibly proud of the impact our learners continue to make and grateful to everyone who supported this worthy cause.
Thank you for helping us create a brighter future for animals in need.

Thank you to Stephen Moore, Director at City Wide Security, for an insightful look into the role of AI in the security industry.
We learned about tools like Computer Vision & Anomaly Detection, Autonomous Drones, Multimodal Video Search, and Smart Alarm Management, plus how heatmapping is changing the game.
A special thank you to Odin Education for organising this informative session and bringing together professionals to explore the future of AI in security.
If you missed last night’s session, don’t worry — we’ll post details of our next gathering soon! Until then, stay warm!
