Throughout term 2 and term 3, our Rabie Ratels’ Junior Community Council (JCC) collected much-needed necessities for Vistarus. This week, our JCC had the privilege of delivering these donations and making a small difference in the lives of others.

A heartfelt thank you to every learner, parent, staff member and member of our school community who donated towards this special cause. Your generosity and willingness to give back truly make a difference.

We are especially proud of our grade 8 learners who assisted with the drop-off: Alizwe Nontshinga, Ambeswa Msipa and Ashiq Patel, together with our junior JCC member, Mitchell Madzokere.

Thank you for representing the Rabie Ratels with kindness, compassion and a heart for our community.

🥇On the sport field🥇

The Rabie Ratels boys’ hockey team recently took part in the Framesby U/17 Super 5’s hockey tournament.

Day 1 got off to an incredible start, with our boys securing victories against Nico Malan, Framesby and DF Malherbe.

On Day 2, the Ratels faced Nico Malan once again in the semi-final and secured another fantastic victory, earning their place in the final against Framesby.

The boys continued their outstanding form and remained undefeated throughout the entire tournament, defeating Framesby in the final to be crowned the Framesby U/17 Super 5’s Hockey Tournament Champions!

Congratulations to our Rabie Ratels hockey boys on this exceptional achievement. Your hard work, determination, teamwork and commitment have truly paid off. We are incredibly proud of every player!

🏆 In Other News | Gedenklesing 2026 🏆

A powerful morning of reflection, inspiration and purpose at our annual Andrew Rabie Memorial Lecture, held on 14 August 2026.

The Gedenklesing is one of our school’s most treasured traditions – a legacy that originated with Dr Andrew Rabie himself, who believed in exposing young people to the wisdom, experience and ideas of remarkable people.

'n Tradisie wat oor dekades heen leef. ’n Nalatenskap wat steeds ’n verskil maak.

A special word of appreciation goes to the Rabie family, who continue to honour and preserve this legacy through their annual contribution from the Rabie Trust. Your continued connection to our school ensures that the vision of Dr Andrew Rabie remains alive for new generations of learners.

Baie dankie dat u saam met ons hierdie besondere nalatenskap lewend hou. Ons waardeer dit opreg.

Thank you to our 2026 guest speaker, Lizo Gqoboka, for sharing such a powerful and impactful message with our learners and reminding us of something simple, yet profound:

“Don’t postpone your joy.”

A reminder to live fully, embrace every opportunity and make today count.

Tradisie. Nalatenskap. Inspirasie.

The Rabie Revolution is not only about change; it is about creating a better future for our learners.

As part of the Rabie Revolution, one of our classrooms, Mrs Kruger’s classroom, has undergone an incredible transformation into a modern smart classroom.

The BTD Smart Classroom features an interactive whiteboard, more comfortable seating and LED lighting, creating a fresh, modern and engaging learning environment for our learners.

This is only the first of many exciting steps towards improving our classrooms and making our school a place where learners can thrive, learn and reach their full potential.

A very special thank you to Mr Paxton and his dedicated team at Bay Tool & Die Makers (BTD) for bringing this initiative to Rabie and investing in the future of our learners.

The BTD Smart Classroom is more than just a renovated classroom; it is the beginning of a new chapter.

Rabie Revolution. Building better classrooms. Creating better opportunities. Shaping a better future.
