THE Eastcape Training Centre (ETC) is a highly competent and fully accredited training provider that offers practical and technical skills at the campus in Struandale,
Port Elizabeth. It is a registered FET College (with Department of Education) and accredited with various Sector, Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) such as MerSETA, CHIETA, FIETA, TETA and Services SETA. It is also fully ac

credited in terms of the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA). Learning and skills programmes offered for a particular industry or sectors are accredited by the relevant SETA ETQA. The Qualifications in various sectors are offered up to NQF Level 5. Facilitators, moderators and assessors are chosen for their high degree of expertise and are registered with and meet the requirements of the relevant SETA. Since its inception in 1976, ETC has expanded and matured into a dynamic, landmark institution rarely rivalled in the wide scope of courses and qualifications it offers. Fashioned by a proud history, ETC is nationally acknowledged as a leader in skills development and as a highly successful private training institution. Governed by a board of representatives of all major stakeholders, ETC provides crucial services to industry and commerce as well as local and provincial government and local communities. Backed by dedicated, professional staff members, facilities and equipment and commitment to the highest quality training standards, ETC has and continues to equip thousands of people with an extensive range of skills across an array of sectors. ETC specialises in technical and practical based training. We are built for the industry with a range of relevant programmes and value added services. Enrolments are accepted through out the year and are based on demand. All you have to do is inquire at the customer service centre which course you would like to do and fill in an enrolment form. ETC is the only training institution in the country that fashions its training days on the model of the industry. Learners are subject to all workplace aspects; therefore we afford the learner and organisation a unique and unsurpassed learning experience that adds value to industry requirements as well as their needs. ETC also has a fully equipped conference centre on site. The purpose designed conference centre was opened in 1986 and has since gained an excellent reputation as one of the
Premium conference venues in the region. It has hosted a range of high profile functions including business and government banquets, international conferences and exhibitions. The main 500 seater auditorium is divisible into four units utilising the floor to ceiling soundproof sliding partitions. Other facilities include venues for smaller groups, a terrace and gazebo with facilities for braai catering. Special features of the ETC Conference Centre include events management, a full liquor licence, photocopying and facsimile services, facilities for disabled delegates, fully air conditioned, movable seating, decor facilities, and AV requirements. The facilities are extremely flexible and many combinations can be arranged to suit your needs. ETC has been declared a CETA accredited Trade Test Centre and a Construction Centre of Excellence (CCOE). ETC is furthermore registered as a private Further Education and Training (FET) College with the Department of Education.

As we approach a significant milestone celebrating 50 years of advancing skills development in August 2026, we continue to build strong industry partnerships that develop future artisans and skilled professionals. As part of the QCTO framework, learners are required to complete structured Work Experience Modules (WM’s) within approved workplace environments. We are currently seeking companies able to provide practical exposure aligned to QCTO, and relevant SETA workplace requirements.
