Six of our Grade 9 learners had a wonderful opportunity to attend the annual academic Winter Camp hosted by the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure. This year the camp took place in Benoni, Johannesburg.
The duration of the camp was from the 7th up until the 9th of July 2022. Our school was amongst 8 other schools each representing their own province. Booysen Park Senior Secondary School represented the whole of Eastern Cape.
Our learners participated in various workshops and activities, speaking to leadership, a clear understanding of career modelling and getting learners to focus on their futures.
As a school we want to thank the parents of these six learners for trusting and allowing their learners to be apart of this programme.
Learners representing the school was:
- Siphesihle Dikjan
- Winsley Cloete
- Anotida Muzavazi
- Annique Norman
- Grace Whitebooi
- Randre Whitebooi
We are truly grateful to have been granted this privellege and honour to be apart of the DPWI school programme.

Ten of our Grade 11 boys had the privilege to attend the fifth annual Mentor The Boys workshop hosted by Michelle Brown and partnerd with Vodacom.
The workshop took place yesterday 10 May and we had 7 guest speakers addressing boys on what it is to be a leader, to be better men in this world and an overall motivation to work harder to be great and make a difference in this world. Starting with yourself.
We encourage all our learners to work hard, and become wonderful leaders in this world.
