Hubs of Convergence bring second and tertiary education together Bridging the gap between secondary and tertiary education, Mandela University’s Hubs of Convergence recently provided 30 Grade 11 learners from Westville High School with first-hand exposure to a variety of career pathways.

PRAAT competition
Happy to announce that one of the winners of the PRAAT competition come from our very school!
A big congratulations to Kiara Morrison (gr10) who took first place🥇

Kiara Morrison, Elrico Madatt and Aliyah Koopman were shortlisted for their poems/letters that they wrote to Hector Pieterson. The poems were recited by the actors here in front of everybody and we got to experience a beautiful performances and also a segment on the history behind 16 June.

Certificate of participation for Elrico and Aliyah will be sent to the school, and Kiara’s prize will also be sent to the school.

Green fingers learners at the Launch of the Food Gardens Initiative by NSNP at Westview Special School. 🌱

Our Grade 8 learners had an amazing day getting their hands dirty 🌱 while taking part in the EduPlant Gardening Workshop hosted at Hillside High School 🌿. They worked together to plant seedlings 🌱, learn about sustainable gardening 🌍, and understand how growing their own food can benefit both the environment and the community. It was a fun, hands-on experience 👏 that taught them valuable skills and the importance of looking after nature 💚.
