A HUGE congratulations to our very own Gloria Nkosana, a Grade 12 learner at Lawson Brown High School, on being selected as one of the 14 finalists in the prestigious 45th Matrikulant van die Jaar competition!

Gloria has made Lawson Brown proud by earning her place among some of the country’s outstanding matriculants. This achievement recognises not only academic excellence, but also leadership, sport, culture and involvement in the school and community.

We are incredibly proud of you, Gloria! Your dedication, character and commitment continue to inspire those around you. May you shine brightly as you take on the final round in October!

On Friday, 28 August, Lawson Brown High took on St Dominics Priory in chess. It proved to be a challenging set of games with some very close calls.

Lawson ended up taking the victory 4 boards to 3. Well done to all who took part. Special mention of Ibanathi Nyoka who played his likely last official game for LBHS
