*🎶 A Tribute to Our Amazing Choir 🎶*

Term 3 was an incredibly busy term for our choir, but from the very beginning, these remarkable learners embraced every opportunity with dedication, commitment and enthusiasm.

We kicked off the term by taking part in *Pearson High School’s 100th Celebration,* followed by *Karoo Kronkels,* where our choir had the incredible opportunity to perform alongside a live orchestra under the direction of *Dr Leonard Heydenrych.* We then participated in the *Herbert Hurd Choir Festival,* celebrated the launch of the *Peace Ambassadors,* and ended this extraordinary term with *”Sing a Song”* alongside the beautiful and talented *Nadine.*

At every performance, we received numerous compliments on the learners’ voices, discipline, confidence and commitment. Their hard work has truly shone through.

A very special thank you to *Miss Jafta and Miss Pieterse* for their unwavering dedication to our choir. So much work happens behind the scenes that often goes unseen. The countless hours of preparation, rehearsals, organising, encouraging, guiding and ensuring that every performance is something our learners can be proud of. Thank you for believing in our learners and for giving so much of yourselves to help them shine. ❤️

*To our wonderful parents:* Thank you for your continued support, for making sure our learners attend rehearsals and performances, for assisting with transport and everything else behind the scenes and most importantly, for encouraging your children to pursue their talents.❤️

To our choir members: *thank you.* Thank you for giving your time, for showing up, for practising, for supporting one another and for representing our school with such pride. Your dedication has not gone unnoticed.

A Proud Moment for Astra Primary School!

A heartfelt congratulations to our talented Foundation Phase learner, Lorenzo Ruiters, on achieving 🥈 2nd Place in the NMB Foundation Phase District Visual Art Competition! 🎨👏

Lorenzo’s creativity and artistic talent have truly shone through and we are incredibly proud of this wonderful achievement.

We were honoured to have Subject Advisor for Life Skills, Mrs C. Abrahams, hand over Lorenzo’s awards and certificates in recognition of his outstanding achievement.
