DATE: 16-18 Feb 2027 at Tramways in Port Elizabeth and 22-23 Apr 2027 at Mentors Country Estate in Jeffrey's Bay - Participate and benefit from SA's largest Careers Fair. Career resources, used as an official part of Life orientation curriculum together with South Africa's largest careers & skills Exhibition and experts sharing opportunities in careers of skills shortages, bursaries and entrepreneurship make the Working World Exhibition (WWE) the most influential and comprehensive tool for reaching and equipping South Africa's growing school leaving youths. Partnership with the Department of Education, in particular facilitates participation from learners, educators and parents on an unprecedented scale. EXHIBITOR ANNOUNCEMENT : We are excited to share that Standard Bank is leading the way around corporate participation in SA's Biggest Careers initiative. Standard Bank not only provides financial support but information and resources to assist school-leavers with their post-school lives. Up to 100 leading brands are expected to participate in this Careers Fair now in its 27th iteration. The Working World Expo annually provides over 10 000 Gr 11 and 12 learners with a host of career guidance resources centered within an exhibition over three days. In a few days close to 1 million matrics in South Africa will be writing their final exams. Stats suggest that a large portion of them (youth unemployment is at 41%) will not find work - let alone meaningful employment. Exams run from 13 October to 25 November across 123 papers. While some hail the matric final mark as a lifelong score that either equals success or failure, matric results are not the be all and end all! There are many opportunities for school-leavers, regardless of matric results. These range from SETA-offered practical skills course to careers at the SANDF or SAPS. With respect to planning for meaning it is equally as essential that school-leaves are informed of a myriad of skills, training, study and funding options. Access to employers and industry associations are a key part of this process which makes the Working World Careers expo an invaluable opportunity that attracts 10 000 Gr 11 and 12's annually together with unemployed youth.
