The South African Students Congress notes the recent email from our toxic Jonas stating that re exams will now commence from the 8th of July until the 14th of July.

Management must stop behaving as if they have a combined IQ lower than a warm day in Lesotho and make sober logical decisions.

We reject the 8th of July we want the entire week so that students can prepare for exams at the best of their abilities. We demand 5 working days or more. We don't want to be rushed we are sensitive people by nature we might make alot of mistakes.

We encourage students to use this time to prepare well for their re-exams and fight for those qualifications.

The South African Students Congress is of the view that whosoever decides on the academic calendar is someone who once failed statistics as a module because of the lack of analyzing.

Students are in a toxic relationship with the institution, not even Jonas and Joyce's relationship can be this toxic.

It is rather absurd to understand as to how can the final results be published on Friday and Re-Exams are expected to commence in 2 days. Students would have to make travel arrangements in the eleventh hour to be able to rewrite their exams, while bus and flight tickets have been skyrocketed.

Final results should have at least been published on the 30th of June and then supplementary exams commence on the 6th of July which would provide a whole week cushion to ensure students make necessary arrangements and most importantly study effectively for their exams. These quick in a hurry type of arrangement is nonsensical to the nearest nonsense.

The short notices that are equivalent to operation Barbarossa can never be correct knowing the lived realities of most students of which is that for them to be able to travel from home to campus a sheep must be sold, or money has to be borrowed.

Management is deliberately and directly prolonging students from graduation. The toxicity of this marriage between students and management must be stopped, we cannot continue to suffer from the hands of NMU. This must never ever happen again!

MMS allowances Students who did not get their full allowance from MMS

The Students Congress has been on management's neck to fast track the process that we proposed that MMS funds be made available to student's INTELLI accounts for the month.

After meeting with management and negotiating on behalf of the student populace, students have received their funds although we have noted that not everyone has received it. We are closely monitoring the process and expect every student who is a beneficiary of this process to benefit fully.

SASCO remains a beacon of hope and always a corrector of incorrect corrections corrected by incorrect correctors.

🚨URGENT MMS PETITION 🚨

The South African Students Congress leadership met with management earlier today in regards with the MMS issue.

The Dean of Students, Director of Students Governance together with financial Aid will be making submissions to MANCO tomorrow morning regarding the long standing MMS issue that seeks to have students allowances being transferred from MMS to INTELLI.

We proposed in that meeting that a petition must be submitted to MANCO to ensure the situation is taken seriously.
