Funeral Notice of Ms Claire Brown-Mutaze

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dearest colleague, Ms Claire Brown-Mutazé.

Ms Brown-Mutaze taught at Bethelsdorp Comprehensive School for the past 18 years, and we are all in shock at this unexpected and tragic event.

For three consecutive years, she and her colleagues achieved a
100% pass rate in Tourism Bethelsdorp Comprehensive School - an absolutely remarkable achievement which speaks to her dedication to her subject.

Her passion was always cooking and baking, and we saw it in every Hospitality Studies lesson she taught. She poured her heart into it.

We will miss her soft-spoken demeanor, her loving and compassionate ways toward learners and staff, and her love for sport - especially volleyball, where she proudly supported our learners.

May her family, her loved ones, and all of us find strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Making a Difference, One Act of Kindness at a Time.
The Interact Society of Bethelsdorp Comprehensive School recently extended a helping hand to members of our community by donating winter essentials to Missionvale Care Centre.
As the colder months set in, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, generosity, and service to others. We are incredibly proud of our Interactors for living out the values of empathy and community upliftment through this meaningful initiative.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this donation possible. Together, we continue to bring warmth, hope, and kindness to those who need it most.

The class of 2025 managed to turn the tide after the school recorded one of its lowest pass rates of 50.4% in 2024. In 2025, the school attained a 78.5% pass rate.
