My Dearest Strelitzia
As I write this my heart is incredibly full, after 17 wonderful, unforgettable years of serving our school and the community of Ext 31, the time has come for me to turn the page and step into a new chapter.
When I first walked through the gates of this school nearly twenty years ago, I knew I was entering an institution of learning. What I didnβt fully realize back then was that I was also being welcomed into a family.
To our parents: thank you. Thank you for your unwavering partnership, your support at school functions, and most importantly, for the ultimate trust you have placed in me. Entrusting us with your childrenβs education, safety, and personal growth is a profound privilege, and it is a responsibility I have cherished every single day. Together, we have celebrated spectacular triumphs, navigated unexpected challenges, and meticulously built an environment where our children could truly thrive.
To the broader community: a school cannot succeed in isolation. Your constant support, resources, and shared vision have been the backbone of our success. The spirit of collaboration in this community is exceptionally rare, and it is something I will hold up as a gold standard at the next school I serve.
To the learners: continue to do yourself proud. Focus on what you want to achieve. Remember that setbacks happen, but the comeback is always better. Be good, be kind, listen and always do your best.
To the staff: Having served alongside you these years has taught me many lessons. I carry them all with me on my new journey. Good luck with the road ahead, I wish you all well. May God continue to hold you in the palm of His hands and may all He has in store for you come to fruition.
While I am genuinely excited about the new challenges that lie ahead, leaving this school is bittersweet. I am leaving a piece of my soul behind in these corridors. I take with me a beautiful tapestry of memories, deep-rooted friendships, and the immense pride of watching generations of learners grow from hesitant young children into confident, capable, and compassionate young people.
Though my role here is changing, my gratitude to this community will remain permanent. I have no doubt that this school will continue to rise to even greater heights, fuelled by the incredible dedication of Mr.Mentoor and his staff.
Thank you for 17 years of shared laughter, shared hard work, and shared community. I wish you, your families, and our beloved school nothing but the absolute best.
All my love...Always
Carynne Leite.
