Sunridge Pre - Primary School

The Dolphins 🐬 have been busy little learners over the past few weeks! We have explored the wonderful world of trees 🌴 and plants, ☘️ learning about how they grow and why they are so important. Our budding gardeners have even planted and nurtured their own vegetables and herbs, including peas 🫛, cabbages 🥬, tomatoes 🍅, chillies, beans🫘, basil, and coriander, to name just a few.

We have also discovered the fascinating Forces of Nature. One of the highlights was creating our very own volcanoes 🌋 and watching them erupt, which caused great excitement and lots of eager scientific 🧪 🥼 discussion!

Through hands-on ✋ activities, exploration, and plenty of fun, our learners continue to discover that learning is an exciting adventure. School is so much fun that sometimes we forget just how much learning is taking place! 😁

The Seahorses have been busy bees 🐝 learning about bugs, insects, 🐌 🦗 🦋 🐜 🐛 fruit 🍎 🍊🍌 and vegetables. 🥦 🥔 🌽 🥕 They love sweet potato fries! 🍠 They have been working on their fine motor skills through fun games and activities. They have had fun viewing our giant picture book 📖 and making use of their visual memory skills while discussing and interpreting what is happening in the pictures. We enjoyed ready the Denny Dragonfly story. We learnt the moral of the story is never give up even when times are challenging. 🌈 We also made our very own Denny Dragonflies. The kiddos wrapped wool around sticks and paper mosaiced the wings. I am so proud of you Seahorses. We also celebrated Othaluves 5th birthday. 🎂 Seahorses I am so proud of you all. Lots more fun and learning ahead. 💙 🩵

The Jellyfish class have been very busy this term learning all about Autumn 🍂, Fruit and Vegetables 🥕 (including The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛), Hospitals, Doctors and Nurses 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️, the Dentist 🦷, as well as Bugs and Insects 🐜🐝🐞🦋🦗🦟.

We are so proud of all the beautiful work, creativity and enthusiasm our little Jellyfish have shown throughout the term. From painting and colouring to cutting, sticking and exploring new themes, every activity has been filled with learning and fun.

The Dolphins 🐬 have been busy little bees 🐝exploring the fascinating world of insects and garden critters! 🐞 🐛 🦋 🦗 They have learnt to identify the different body parts of insects, explain the differences between snails 🐌 and slugs, name the various types of honey bees, and share many more interesting facts they have discovered along the way. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity and excitement as they learn through fun, hands-on experiences! 🌈 💙 🩵

Hello friends and family.
After this stormy 🌧️ weather, let's brighten your day with some cuteness 😍 from the Whales 🐋 Grade R class.

The Seahorses have been working on their fine motor skills and creativity. 🎨 They paper mosaiced beautiful Autumn colour beanies. They collected Autumn leaves on the playground and made the coolest little bugs. 🍁🍂They learnt about animals that hibernate and they painted the cutest hedgehogs.🦔 They have also been brushing up 🪥on their dental care. They learnt about dentists, teeth and dental hygiene. 🦷They had fun playing the "brush the germs away" game they made in art. The Seahorses love exercising, stretching and strengthening their muscles. 💪 🏃‍♀️🤸 Take a peek at some of the pics of them in action. We'll done Seahorses Aunty Janine is so proud of you all. 🩵💙 RR

In our Jellyfish class, our busy 3–4 year olds are learning some of life’s most important skills every single day 💛

We focus on:

✨ Developing problem-solving skills

Our little Jellyfish also love to:

🎶 Learn language through singing, themes and daily conversations

🎈 we LOVE to play! 🎈

Through play, we explore, discover, make choices, listen, and learn to work together. Every day is an adventure filled with laughter, learning, and growth.
