"The only form of communication was bullets and teargas" - Tsietsi Mashinini on the June 16 uprising of 1976 in SOWETO

Please take time out to watch this video of an exclusive interview with the infamous Tsietsi Mashinini with John Fielding. This interview took place merely days before Mashinini left South Africa to exile, sacrificing all he knew for the revolution.

President Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA), Oshadi Phakathi, then leader of the Black Parents Association, Manas Buthelezi and SASO official, Deborah Matshoba. This video gives us a clear outline of the dynamics with which Mashinini and his colleagues were confronted. It shows us the impact that the youth had in advancing social change. It should give us courage as young people to advance change in our word today, without fear or intimidation.

These are the ideals from which our Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) draws strength, and we look forward to receiving his contributions on the Lessons which today's youth can draw from the activism of Mashinini.

[JOB OPPORTUNITY] The Institute is hiring!

We are looking for tutors for learners between Grades 7-12 to help get our clients ready to excel in the next grade.

Minimum Requirements:

All applicants must:
1) Hold a National Senior Certificate (NSC) - grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
2) Be able to offer a minimum of three subjects of grades 7-9 or grades 10-12.
3) Have a stable internet connection (WiFi or Fiber)

Remuneration:
Successful applicants will be employed on a casual basis and paid via commission. The rate is 40% of all tutorial sessions which the successful applicants carries out.

Finally, all applications are to be completed by sending the following documents via email:

2) Letter of Motivation as to why we should take you on
3) Certified ID copy
