We kicked off Pride Month at the Nelson Mandela University George Campus with a powerful Flag Hoisting Ceremony, raising the Pride flag as a symbol of visibility, inclusion, dignity and belonging.

As we raise the flag, we also raise our commitment to creating spaces where everyone can be seen, heard, respected and celebrated for who they are.

This is only the beginning. 🌈✨

-Practice Guidelines for Psychology Professionals Working with Sexually and Gender Diverse People

and

-Toolkit for Mental Health Providers Working with Survivors of Conversion Practices.

The launch will provide an opportunity to engage with these important resources and participate in a conversation focused on inclusive and affirming mental health practice.

The Transformation Office invites academic staff, management and support services staff to participate in a Gender and Sexual Diversity Sensitisation Training session.

The session is themed: “From Policy to Practice: Building an Inclusive, Gender-Affirming University”

The training provides an opportunity for colleagues to engage with gender and sexual diversity and reflect on the importance of creating inclusive and gender-affirming spaces across the university.
