Our Under-9 Rugby Team attended a coaching clinic hosted by Get into Rugby, the official World Rugby grassroots development programme, that introduces young people to the sport in a safe, fun, and progressive way.
Despite the chilly weather, our young rugby stars thoroughly enjoyed the experience, learning new skills and interacting with Springbok players who inspired them both on and off the field. The smiles on their faces and the enthusiasm they displayed throughout the day were truly heartwarming.
We also acknowledge our Principal, Mr Lukasi, whose unwavering support and advocacy for learner participation in sport continue to create opportunities such as these. His belief in the value of sport as a tool for holistic learner development remains an inspiration to our school community.
Well done to our Under-9 team for representing our school with pride and enthusiasm!

Our Grade R and Grade 1 learners took centre stage during this morning's assembly as they presented a touching tribute to the heroes of the 1976 Student Uprising.
They also delighted the audience with energetic dances to music from Sarafina!, bringing to life the spirit of resilience and unity that defined that historic struggle. As part of the event Principal Mr Lukasi lead from the front chanting slogans that were used for political revolution during those times
The presentation was witnessed by staff, fellow learners, and our special guests from the New Brighton SAPS and the New Brighton CPF.
We wish to the Grades R and 1 teachers who took time to prepare the learners.

The school proudly congratulates three of our talented learners, Luniko Soya, Cwagco Lose, and Kungawo Mazeka, who have been selected to represent the Nelson Mandela Bay District at the Eastern Cape Provincial Inter-District Cross Country Championships taking place in KuGompo City this weekend.
During this morning's assembly, Principal, Mr Simphiwe Lukasi proudly paraded the young athletes before their fellow learners and staff, acknowledging their hard work, dedication, and outstanding achievement in earning provincial selection.
The learners will be accompanied by their coach, Miss Patiwe Gubevu, whose commitment and guidance have played a significant role in their success.
We are immensely proud of these young ambassadors. We wish them every success as they compete against the best athletes from across the province. May they run with confidence, determination, and pride while representing both our school and the Nelson Mandela Bay District.
Safe travels, boys, and all the best for the championships! We are behind you all the way!

Siyabulela, Minister Gwarube! ππΏπ¦
On behalf of our Principal, Mr Simphiwe Lukasi, the educators, learners, School Governing Body, and the entire BJ Mnyanda Public Primary School community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to you Minister for honouring us with your visit yesterday.
Your presence at our school was more than an official oversight visitβit was a powerful message to our learners that they matter, that their safety matters, and that their dreams matter. The time you spent engaging with our learners, signing the No Bully Pledge, and sharing in the vision of creating safe and nurturing schools left a lasting impression on all of us.
Many of our learners face significant socio-economic challenges on a daily basis. Yet your warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in their wellbeing uplifted their spirits and reminded them that they are seen, valued, and supported. The smiles on their faces and the excitement throughout the school are memories they will cherish for years to come.
Thank you for championing safe schools and for inspiring our learners to stand against bullying and violence. We are proud to have been part of this important campaign and remain committed to building a school environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive in safety.
Enkosi kakhulu, Minister. Your visit has left a mark on our school community.
Siyabulela! π
