Taking on babies from 2 months to Grade RR using ELDA and CAPS Curriculum. We at Little Kid-Oaks work with diverse children who all have their own personalities from 2 months to Grade RR. We aspire to provide excel
lent childcare services and teaching experiences that will benefit the children as well as the parents and develop all the knowledge criteria afforded to us while learning through play. We are committed to providing excellent standards of childcare and pre-school education, following the ELDA and ECD CAPS curriculum. Our aim is to ensure that by the time your child reaches primary school age they are confident, secure, and able to achieve their own goals. School hours are from Monday-Friday. Children can be dropped off between 06:00am and 8:00am. An aftercare facility is available from Monday-Friday from 13:00pm-17:30pm up until 15th December for Lorraine Primary pupils. We follow government school terms and are closed on all public holidays and special school holidays. We offer half day and full day options and follow the 4-term school calendar. Our school will be open right through the year. Our annual shutdown is from the 15th December and we reopen in the first week of January in the new year. Our classes are taught in English using ELDA and CAPS Curriculum from ages 2 months to 5years. A new theme is taught every week which is theme based and age appropriate. Age Groups:
· Infant Environment 4 Months -1.5 years
· Toddler Environment 1.5years -3 years
· Pre-school Environment 3-5 years
The number of children per classroom is smaller to allow for each child to get the attention needed. The bigger the class the more teachers and assistants. [1:6]
Our curriculum is based on the ELDA and ECD CAPS which is theme based and age appropriate for children from birth to 5 years. Through this curriculum our children develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviours that equip them well for the next stage of their learning in school. Your childrens learning will link to the areas of learning set out in the Early Childhood Development, which are summarised here, and all activities will be appropriately planned to the relevant stage of development and understanding of the children:
