Last week, our Grade 12 Consumer Studies learners completed their final PAT examinations!

After months of preparation, planning and practical work, it was time to put their skills to the test. A huge well done to our learners for their hard work, dedication and perseverance throughout the process.

Our Grade 11 Consumer Studies learners showed off their baking skills by making delicious milk tarts as part of their practical lessons. We are proud of their effort, creativity, and the wonderful results!

A huge congratulations to our Grade 6 learner, C-Jay Oosthuizen, on being selected for the U12 SEDRU Albany Team! We are so proud to see you representing Port Alfred High School at this level. Well done, C-Jay, we look forward to seeing where this opportunity takes you!

Three of our learners proudly represented Port Alfred High School at the EMS District Spelling Bee, competing against a strong field of 48 participants from across the district. Mia Groenewald, Sange Mangi and Uyolo Nginase demonstrated impressive vocabulary skills, determination and composure throughout a challenging competition.

We are especially proud to congratulate Uyolo Nginase, who took 1st place and has earned the opportunity to represent the district at the upcoming Provincial Spelling Bee! A huge congratulations to Mia and Sange as well. You represented our school with pride and did an outstanding job.

A special thank you to Ms Groep for accompanying and supporting our learners throughout the competition. Your encouragement and dedication are truly appreciated.

It is with deep sadness that we learn of the passing of our former student, Aneziwe Mvandaba, who matriculated from PAHS in 2010.

On behalf of the PAHS family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, classmates, and all who knew him. May you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared with him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
