🏉 GAME DAY SAFETY – BACK THE BOKS, STAY SECURE! 🇿🇦

While the Springboks are taking care of business on the field, make sure you’re taking care of security at home. Whether you’re watching from the couch, at a braai, or out with friends, don’t let the excitement distract you from the basics.

5 GAME-DAY SAFETY TIPS

1. 🔒 Lock up before kick-off – Check doors, gates and windows, especially if everyone is gathered in one part of the house.
2. 🚗 Secure vehicles and valuables – Lock vehicles, close windows and keep phones, handbags and keys out of sight.
3. 🚨 Arm your alarm – If you’re heading out to watch the game, activate your alarm and make sure outdoor beams are armed where possible.
4. 👀 Stay alert during the game – Criminals know big sporting events can mean distracted households. Don’t ignore unusual noises, dogs barking or suspicious movement.
5. 📱 Keep emergency contacts close – Make sure everyone in the family knows how to contact Multi Security quickly if something doesn’t feel right.

💜 RESTORING A PLACE OF SAFETY, HOPE & SUPPORT 💜

Multi Security is proud to announce that we will be heading up a community project to restore the Sunshine Coast Support Centre — a facility created to provide a safe and supportive environment for women and children in need.

During the recent renovations to the SAPS station, the Support Centre was unfortunately left out of the project and sustained some damage along the way. We now want to help bring this incredibly important facility back to life.

Working together with SAPS and the CPF, Multi Security will coordinate this project in two stages:

Phase 1 – Restore the building
Repair what has been damaged and ensure the facility is safe, secure and functional.

Phase 2 – Make it feel like home
Create a warm, comfortable and welcoming environment where a woman or child going through one of the most difficult moments of their life can feel safe, protected and cared for.

As we celebrate Women’s Month and look ahead to the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children, we believe there could not be a more meaningful time to come together as a community.

This centre is more than just a building. It is a place of safety. A place of dignity. A place where someone can find help when they may need it most.

Multi Security will be putting our full support behind this initiative, but we cannot do it alone.

We are calling on local businesses, tradespeople, suppliers and members of our community who would like to donate materials, furnishings, services, labour or financial assistance to please get involved.

🌸 EDGE LADIES BREAKFAST | WOMEN’S MONTH 🌸

It was a real privilege to spend time with the incredible ladies of Port Alfred at the EDGE Ladies Breakfast in celebration of Women’s Day and Women’s Month.

I had the opportunity to speak about something very close to my heart — women’s safety, awareness and empowerment.

The message was simple: every woman deserves to feel safe, to feel heard, and to know that she has the strength to protect herself and others.

Thank you to EDGE for the invitation and to every lady who listened, participated and shared in the morning.
