📢 Important Notice to NSFAS Accredited Accommodation Providers

NSFAS confirms the upcoming payment dates for successfully verified Accommodation Providers (APs).
📅 TVET Accommodation Providers: 24 April 2026
📅 University Accommodation Providers: 4 May 2026

Only providers who have successfully completed all verification requirements will receive disbursements on the scheduled dates.

Accommodation providers are encouraged to work with the relevant solution partners to ensure verification processes are completed in time.

NSFAS appreciates your continued partnership in supporting safe and accessible student accommodation.

📢 NSFAS University Disbursement Update

NSFAS has processed the April 2026 university disbursement on 01 April 2026 to support funded students across institutions.

The payment structure includes:
🎓 Tuition/Education: 50% payment covering February – April 2026
🚌 Travel Allowance: 100% fully disbursed (Feb – Apr)
🧴 Personal Care Allowance: 100% fully disbursed (Feb – Apr)
🏠 Accommodation Allowance: 100% fully disbursed (Feb – Apr)
❤️ Living Allowance: 100% fully disbursed (Feb – Apr)
📚 Book Allowance: 100% paid as a once-off payment

Institutions are expected to distribute student allowances promptly to ensure beneficiaries receive their funds without delay. NSFAS continues to monitor the payment process to support student success.

Students who wish to be funded by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) in the 2023 academic year are urged to submit their applications with all required supporting documents no later than 31 January 2023.

Please visit www.nsfas.org.za to apply or visit any National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) centre across the country for free assistance with the application process.
