Kruinies, let’s celebrate the incredible achievement of Zara Teixeira, a proud Grade 6 learner at Curro Heuwelkruin! 💙✨

Zara had the honour of representing her school and Polokwane at the prestigious 13th South African International Ballet Competition in Cape Town — the only international ballet competition of its kind on the African continent. 🌍🇿🇦

Performing on the magnificent Artscape Opera House stage alongside exceptional young dancers from South Africa and around the world, Zara captivated audiences and impressed an esteemed international judging panel. 🌟

In an exceptionally talented field, she delivered her individual performances with confidence, elegance and heart. ❤️

And the excitement didn’t stop there! Zara joined her fellow dancers from Mzanzi Ballet Academy for a beautiful group performance — and together, they danced their way to an incredible SECOND PLACE! 🥈👏🎉

Behind every graceful movement are countless hours of training, courage, discipline and determination. 💪🩰

From Polokwane to one of South Africa’s most celebrated stages, Zara has shown us just how brightly a young dream can shine. ✨

Our Preschool learners had a wonderful time learning about the importance of recycling and caring for our planet! 🌱💚

With the help of their amazing parents, they turned recycled items into fabulous, creative outfits. ♻️🎨👚 From imaginative designs to incredible upcycled creations, their creativity truly shone through!

And then came the highlight… a spectacular recycling fashion show! 🎉👠🕺 Our little learners proudly showing off their fantastic creations with confidence and big smiles! 🌟👏

Our Grade 2 learners put their creativity and imagination to work as they designed and built their very own robots using recycled materials! 🤖🔧📦

From cardboard boxes to bottle caps and other recyclable items, our learners transformed everyday materials into amazing robotic creations. ♻️🎨✨

This fun activity encouraged creativity, problem-solving and environmental responsibility, while showing our learners that one person’s rubbish can become another person’s masterpiece! 🌱💚

The Womb Time Travellers is a moving theatrical journey that retells Africa's history through the eyes of its women. Celebrating their courage, resilience and enduring legacy, the production invites audiences to reflect on the past while imagining a hopeful future.

After earning a place as a Top 5 Finalist at the Curro Create National Youth Theatre Festival, the production company returns home to Curro Heuwelkruin to share this remarkable production with their community.
