In Loving Memory of Mr. Makola Wilson Mohale 🕊️

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our long-serving and much-loved members of the Northern Academy family, Mr Makola Wilson Mohale.

Mr. Mohale dedicated 20 years of outstanding service to Northern Academy as a valued member of our maintenance team. Throughout his time with us, he was more than just a colleague, he was a friend, a mentor, and a constant source of positivity within our school community.

He will be fondly remembered for his bubbly smile, warm personality, and unwavering kindness, which touched the lives of both learners and staff alike. His presence brought comfort and joy to many, and his contributions to our school will never be forgotten.

Mr. Mohale’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he has impacted over the years. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Grade R Pottery Fun!

Our Grade R learners had a wonderful time during a fun pottery activity using playdough. They rolled, shaped, squeezed, and created a variety of imaginative designs while exploring different textures and shapes. 🎨

This hands-on experience helped develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and concentration in an enjoyable and engaging way. Learning through play allows our little ones to express themselves, build confidence, and strengthen important developmental skills.

Well done to our young creators for their fantastic efforts! 😊👏

♟️ Checkmate! Champions in the making! 🏆

Our talented Northern Academy chess players have been crowned Provincial Champions at the Alex Forbes BattleBoards Chess Championship 2026!🌟

They proudly walked away with gold medals and certificates and will now represent us at the National Championships on 1 August 2026, competing against the top 64 schools in the country.

We are incredibly proud the journey continues! 💙♟️
