*The Blessed Month of Muharram 1448H*
As we welcome the *new Hijri year*, we are reminded that Hijrah is not only a journey of distance, but a journey of the heart — from heedlessness to remembrance, from disobedience to obedience, and from darkness to the light of Allah (SWT).
May this blessed beginning be a means for us to renew our niyyah, strengthen our iman, and realign our lives with sincerity, taqwa, and righteous deeds.
Ya Rabb, grant this year sakinah in our hearts, clarity in our path, and abundant barakah in our families and the entire Ummah.
Ameen.
📹 Alhamdulillah – MSA Food Distribution
Yesterday, we had a successful Chicken Licken distribution as part of our MSA activities. It was a moment of unity, gratitude, and appreciation within our community.
We especially appreciate those who consistently attend our programs, engage in the group, and support our events — your presence and involvement help keep the MSA active and growing, and we pray Allah rewards you for that.
At the same time, this is an open invitation to everyone: we encourage all students to attend our programs, engage with the MSA, and be part of the community.
Looking forward to seeing more of you at our upcoming events 🤍

Assalamualaykum. I hope you’re doing well. Please pay attention to the following.
Today is the day of Arafah. Now what is the day of Arafah and what should one do on this day=
The Day of Arafah is the 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, the day before Eid al-Adha. It is one of the holiest days in Islam.
On this day:
* Pilgrims performing Hajj gather at the plain of Mount Arafat to worship Allah and make dua.
* Muslims around the world who are not on Hajj are encouraged to:
* Fast
* Make lots of dua
* Seek forgiveness
* Remember Allah often
The Prophet ﷺ said fasting on this day forgives the sins of the previous and coming year (minor sins), by Allah’s mercy.
For those not performing Hajj, these are highly recommended acts of worship:
Virtues of the Day:
* Qur’an 5:3
* “This day I have perfected for you your religion, completed My favor upon you, and have approved for you Islam as your religion.”
* Hadith – Sahih Muslim
* The Prophet ﷺ said:
* “Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates (forgives) the sins of the previous year and the coming year.”
What To Do on the Day of Arafah
Fast the Day
* Fast from Fajr (dawn) to Maghrib (sunset) if you are not on Hajj.
* It is one of the most rewarding voluntary fasts.
Make Lots of Dua (Supplication)
* This is one of the best days for dua.
* Hadith – Sunan al-Tirmidhi
* “The best dua is the dua of the Day of Arafah…”
Common Duas
* اللهم اغفر لي
* Transliteration:
* Allahumma-ghfir li
* Meaning:
* “O Allah, forgive me.”
* ربنا آتنا في الدنيا حسنة وفي الآخرة حسنة وقنا عذاب النار
* Meaning:
* “Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
Best Dhikr to Say on Arafah
The Prophet ﷺ especially encouraged saying:
لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير
Transliteration
Meaning
“There is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs all dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things.”
Increase in:
* Dhikr (remembrance of Allah)
* Istighfar (saying “Astaghfirullah” — “I seek forgiveness from Allah”)
* Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ
* Qur’an recitation
* Charity
* Tawbah (repentance)
Avoid
* Gossip and backbiting
* Arguments
* Wasting the day on entertainment
* Sins of the tongue, eyes, and ears
Takbir of Dhul Hijjah
From Fajr of Arafah until Asr of the 13th of Dhul Hijjah, we should recite this after every obligatory prayer:
الله أكبر الله أكبر لا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر الله أكبر ولله الحمد
Transliteration
Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, laa ilaaha illallaah, wallaahu Akbar Allahu Akbar wa lillaahil-hamd.
Meaning
“Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is no god worthy of worship except Allah. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and all praise belongs to Allah.”
May Allah accept all our duas and prayers and grant us all the highest level of Heaven. May Allah grant you and i guidance and guide us into being pious and righteous Muslims and bless us with righteous and pious Muslim spouses and children. Ameen 🫂❤️
