[DAY 2]: CAREER EXHIBITION NETWORK EXPO

Capricorn TVET is currently participating in the Career Network Exhibition (CEN) 10th Annual Ephraim Mogale Career Expo that is taking place at Laerskool Sports Ground in Marble Hall.

The aim of this event is to expose Grade 12 learners under Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality to different academic, skills and funding opportunities that are available at the College.

The expo aims to empower Grade 12 learners from the Sekhukhune District with valuable information on career paths, study opportunities and future prospects.

[HAPPENING NOW]: COLLEGE SCHOOL VISIT INITIATIVES

Capricorn TVET College is currently at Tom Naude Technical High School in Polokwane engaging with Grade 09 to 12 learners. Forming part of our school visit initiatives, the session aims at familiarizing targeted learners to the wide range of vocational and occupational programmes offered at the College and helping them realise the importance of technical subjects they are already exposed to and how they can further their studies at the College.

The session is exposing the learners to valuable information about all study fields, admission requirements and available funding opportunities available within the TVET sector.

"We are grateful to Capricorn TVET College for this session with our learners as most of them want to acquire skills and venture into entrepreneurship within the engineering field after they have completed Grade 12, mentions the school Principal, Ms. Vanessa Kachelhoffer.

"This session was an eye opener for me, I learned about the financial opportunities available for students who enroll at TVET colleges. When I apply for the admission, I will also apply for funding", explains Grade 11 learner, Mr. Ntabane Metja.

"I look forward to enrolling with the College for an electrical engineering programme after Grade 12, this session exposed me to the occupational programmes offered and the opportunities after completion", states Grade 10 learner, states Ms. Ngoasheng Temogo.

[HAPPENING NOW]: BANNA BA KGORO CHAMPIONS BROTHERHOOD AND WELLNESS

An employee-led initiative established to promote unity, brotherhood and personal development among male staff members, Banna Ba Kgoro is currently holding its first meeting of 2026 at Central Office in Polokwane.

The gathering is providing a platform for male staff members to engage on issues affecting them, share experiences, support one another and reflect on their role in building strong families, productive workplaces and cohesive communities.

The meeting forms part of the College’s ongoing commitment to employee wellness, responsible leadership and positive social change.

Today's spotlight is on the choir competitions taking place at the Rustenburg Civic Centre, where talented teams including team Limpopo, are giving it their all in pursuit of excellence.
