π Celebrating Excellence at FLOREAT! π
Today we proudly recognised our Intermediate and Senior Phase learners for their outstanding academic achievements. Congratulations to all learners who earned Top 5 in Class and Top 5 in Grade certificates through their dedication, perseverance, and hard work. ππ
A special mention also goes to two of our learners who received Recognition Certificates for their willingness to serve and assist our prefects. Your helpfulness, leadership, and positive attitude do not go unnoticed. πβ
We were also delighted to hear from Chazz and Shireen, who shared highlights from their recent trip to Durban and reflected on the wonderful experiences and opportunities they enjoyed while representing our school. πβ¨
We are incredibly proud of each learner recognised today. Keep striving for excellence, embracing every opportunity, and continuing to make FLOREAT proud! ππ

The excitement is back! ππ
We were delighted to welcome Blue Ribbon to Floreat as they encouraged our learners to take part in the Save, Bin & Win Competition once again.
This competition holds a special place in our hearts. Not only did our school emerge as a winning school, but one of our learners also came out on top, winning an amazing prize, a brand-new bicycle! π²π
We are encouraging all our Floreat families to get involved once again by collecting and submitting bread bags. With the support of our school community, we hope to repeat our previous success and bring both the school and individual prizes home once more.
Together, we can do it! Letβs show our FLOREAT spirit and make this yearβs competition another winning one. ππ

Our Grade 7 learners had the privilege of spending time with Meryl from Prescient Foundation who engaged them in a meaningful discussion on the important topic of bullying.
Through open conversation, valuable insights, and practical guidance, our learners were encouraged to reflect on the impact of their words and actions and the role each person plays in creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all.
Thank you, Meryl and Prescient, for investing in our learners and empowering them to stand against bullying. π

π€π Coding & Robotics Success! ππ€
After weeks of preparation and after-school practice, our Coding and Robotics team travelled to Erica Primary School in Bellville to compete in the First LEGO Robotics Competition, sponsored by Old Mutual and supported by the Sakhikamva Foundation.
Accompanied by Mr Jones and Ms Tamse, our learners achieved an outstanding 2nd place overall and also won the Best Built Robot award. This is an incredible accomplishment for a brand-new team with limited coding experience.
Congratulations to our learners and teachers on making us proud! πππ
