We are learning in Harmony at Bahia Formosa School 🌿

We were so excited to welcome Kwendalo Institute to our school as they spent time with our learners and captured a glimpse of our Harmony journey.

We are incredibly proud to be the first Harmony Accredited School outside of the UK, and grateful for the opportunity to share this approach to connected, nature-based learning with our learners 🌱

A huge thank you to Kwendalo for creating this beautiful video and helping us share our mission with more schools across South Africa. We hope our story inspires others to discover The Harmony Project too! 💚

Our Enchanted Bookshelf Concert for 2026 was filled with music, laughter, and so much incredible talent! 📚✨

A huge thank you to our wonderful learners and teachers who worked so hard to make the evening so special.

Thank you to PAWS for joining us and setting up a stand. We hope their important mission inspired our guests and highlighted the wonderful work they do.

A special thank you to WordsWorth for bringing their beautiful books and adding even more bookshelf magic to our evening. We loved seeing families choose books to take home and enjoy together 📖✨

And, of course, thank you to all our parents and families for coming to support our learners. If there is one thing we hope our 2026 concert inspires, it is a love of reading and the joy of sharing a book with your children. We hope you’ll pick up a book and find a little magic in its pages!✨📚

Last week had the privilege of having Greg Coleman, a local beekeeper, situated in Knysna, come to visit us and share his love and passion for bees!🍯 🐝

Greg Coleman brought with him a box of freshly harvested honey, and our learners learnt about many facts about our special Southern Cape Bees and more about what the life of a beekeeper looks like.

Thank you to Greg's Honey for giving our learners a new perspective of bee's and to see their worth.

At Bahia Formosa School we will continue to encourage and practice respecting nature and our environment, while we carry on inspiring some future beekeepers in the process🐝

Please contact on Instagram to order a bottle or two!

This week, our Grade 3 learners enjoyed an exciting and educational outing to Pick n Pay at The Market Square, Plettenberg Bay, where they were given a behind-the-scenes look at how the butchery and bakery departments operate!🍞🥩

Michelle, the store manager, welcomed us warmly and led a fascinating, hands-on tour. Learners discovered how fresh bread and baked goods are prepared daily, and how the butchery team works carefully to prepare and present their products. It was a wonderful real-world learning experience that brought classroom discussions to life.

To make the visit even sweeter, the learners were treated to a delicious donut at the end of the tour!🍩💙

A heartfelt thank you to Michelle and the team at Pick 'n' Pay for their generosity, time, and enthusiasm in making this outing such a memorable one for our Grade 3s💙💙
