BLüm Bespoke

Well… that escalated quickly. 🤣📦🌿

A very big pile of plants is officially packed, labelled and ready to make its way to new homes across South Africa.

Every single one packed by hand, with probably an unreasonable amount of cardboard, tape and determination. 😂

Thank you so much to everyone who ordered from our latest BLüm Bespoke WhatsApp Plant Sale. Seeing this pile at the end of it all is pretty damn special.

Next stop: your doorstep. 🌿

And yes… my house was absolute chaos. 🤣

What started as an idea became a morning filled with plants, moss, muddy hands, conversation, laughter and a group of people creating something entirely their own.

Set amongst the beautiful gardens at Diverse etc., we slowed down, learnt the art of Kokedama, got wonderfully messy and enjoyed the most incredible food and coffee prepared by Murray Pienaar.

Because BLüm Experiences was never meant to be simply about making something with plants. It’s about taking time out, learning something new, connecting with people and enjoying the whole experience along the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first one, and to Murray and Ella for helping create such a special morning.

This was only the beginning.

A little BLüm is heading to The Lookout Deck Restaurant, Lookout Point, Plettenberg Bay

Thirty beautiful little palms, individually planted into crisp white ceramic pots and finished with a natural bark layer, are getting ready for their new home at The Lookout Deck in Plettenberg Bay.

Small details can make such a difference to a space and we love seeing plants become part of the places where people gather, eat, relax and enjoy Plett.

All planted and finished by BLüm Bespoke. 🤍

WELCOME TO THE TEAM, BETTY BLüm!🚐

BLüm Bespoke has a new team member… and she comes with four wheels, sliding doors and an impressive amount of cargo space. 🤣

Meet Betty BLüm, our new greenhouse on wheels. 🌿🚐

She’ll be responsible for transporting ridiculous quantities of plants, getting BLüm Bespoke to markets and events, making deliveries, collecting stock and generally being filled with far more greenery than Volkswagen ever intended.

But this one means a little more to me than simply buying a new vehicle.

Over the past eight months, BLüm Bespoke has been completely pulled apart and put back together. I’ve changed almost everything about the business, taken some pretty big risks and worked incredibly hard to build what BLüm Bespoke is becoming. There were plenty of moments when buying a dedicated business vehicle felt completely out of reach.

So getting to bring Betty BLüm home feels like one of those moments where I get to stop for a second, look at what I’ve built in just eight months, and realise just how far I’ve come. 💚

She’s not wearing her BLüm Bespoke uniform just yet, that’s coming, but she’s here, she’s ours, and I couldn’t be more excited about what she’s going to make possible.

Now… let’s see exactly how many plants I can fit in the back. 😏🤣
