"I remember the absolute joy that I received from the education. I want that for my children."
Kyle and Suzanne Young are not just Raphaeli parents; they are Waldorf alumni who grew up in this education and chose it again, deliberately, for their own children.
One key component of Waldorf education is that the children learn "how to think and not what to think". In most schools, there is a correct answer and a correct way to reach it. In a Waldorf classroom, children are supported to find their own way through a problem, to bring their own thinking to it and to be individuals in how they approach the world. That framework, built over years, produces people who are adaptable, creative and confident in their approach to finding solutions to future problems.
For Kyle and Suzanne, seeing that same quality developing in their own children is exactly why they chose Raphaeli.

Nkosinathi, our Eurythmy teacher at Raphaeli, has spent his career working within Waldorf education. When he talks about why he would recommend this school to parents, he comes back to the fact that Raphaeli is a school that still takes the philosophy seriously, in its classrooms, its festivals, its teachers and its daily rhythm.

Puzzle time in Kindergarten!
Our little ones have been enjoying some special puzzle time with a beautiful selection of new puzzles, purchased especially for our Kindergarten children.
Puzzles are such a wonderful way for children to learn, encouraging concentration, problem-solving, patience and perseverance, while giving them the satisfaction of working something out for themselves.

"It not only builds intellectual skills, but it also builds people."
Gillian Wells, Class 3 teacher at Raphaeli Waldorf School, speaks about why a Waldord education is so important for children in the modern world.
Waldorf education has never been only about academic outcomes. It is about the arts, the physical development of the child, the cultivation of creativity, empathy and independent thinking. It is about sending young people out into the world who are not just capable, but whole.
Waldorf asks a different question entirely. Not just what does this child know, but who are they becoming?
