The South African Police Service (SAPS) is initiating the recruitment of 10 000 entry-level Police Trainees for the 2024/2025 intake.

They are looking for dedicated citizens willing to protect and serve the country through the Basic Police Development Learning Programme (BPDLP).

The applicants must meet specific requirements, including permanent residence, a grade 12 school certificate, proficiency in English and one other official language, age between 18 and 35, no previous criminal convictions, and passing medical and psychological assessments.

Interested candidates can obtain the official application form from any Police Station or SAPS Recruitment offices or download it from the SAPS website. They should attach the necessary documents, such as their Identity Document, Senior Certificate, Tertiary Qualifications, Driver's license (if applicable), and testimonials from school, church, or previous employers.

The selected candidates will receive a stipend of R4500 per month during their training.
