Who says diesel mechanics is a man’s world?
Of the 60 apprentices in our programme, 20 were women, and went on to become qualified Diesel Mechanics.
Twenty women who challenged the stereotype, got their hands dirty and proved that skill has no gender.
This Women’s Month, we’re celebrating the women who aren’t just entering male-dominated industries, they are making their mark.

We were honoured to welcome the National Skills Fund to Rankin Skills Training for an oversight visit and the opportunity to showcase the success of our Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship Programme.
We are especially proud that 85% of our apprentices (51 out of 60) have successfully secured employment after completing their three-year apprenticeship, a testament to the quality of training we provide and the dedication of our apprentices.
At Rankin Skills Training, we're committed to developing skilled artisans who are ready to make a lasting impact on South Africa's workforce.

It's been a privilege welcoming our newly qualified Diesel Mechanics back to Rankin Skills Training to collect their certificates.
A piece of paper can't measure the late nights, hard work, perseverance, and determination it took to get here, but it does mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
