You bought the toy... they chose the box!
Sound familiar?

To us it's just a cardboard box. To a little one it can become a car, a boat, a hiding place, a tunnel, a bed for Teddy or simply something to climb in and out of over and over again!

Children don't always need complicated toys to keep them entertained. Sometimes the simplest things give them the freedom to explore, imagine and play in their own way.

So before you throw away that next delivery box... hand it over and see what happens! 💛

You don’t need special activities to help build your child’s language. Some of the best opportunities happen during the ordinary moments of your day. 💛

Talk about what you’re doing while getting dressed, name the things you see while you’re out, chat during bath time and describe what you’re doing while preparing lunch.

Sing songs, read stories and give your little one time to respond, whether that’s with a sound, a gesture or a word.

The more children hear language used naturally and meaningfully, the more opportunities they have to begin understanding and using words themselves.
So keep talking, even when it feels like you’re doing most of the conversation! 😊
