Nanny ‘n Me was started in April 2012 by Lara Schoenfeld, an Occupational Therapist and mom of two boys in Cape Town. Out of a passion for creativity, little people and nannies, as well a

s experiencing the struggle of being a working mom, the idea was born. Furthermore, there was the realisation that most nannies have never had the opportunity as children to paint or to build puzzles themselves and may feel reticent to have to initiate such activities with the child they care for. WHAT IS NANNY 'N ME? A group session is an online or in-person, 1 hour long session, and provides opportunities for engaging in age appropriate PLAY where the activities reflect the interests and developmental stage of the child. There is an emphasis on positively influencing the Nanny and child relationship as well as encouraging ongoing “home fun” input, so that home as a learning environment is promoted. Nannies learn about developmental concepts week by week and receive certificates every block. Moms receive a weekly email explaining the activities and enjoy seeing photos of their child so they don’t miss out on the fun!

A passionate Occupational Therapist and mom to a young son, she knows just how important a strong support system is during the early years. She believes it truly takes a village to raise a child and is passionate about empowering nannies while giving parents peace of mind.

Meet Tamzin

Tamzin is the heart behind Nanny 'n Me in Morningside, Rivonia and Sunninghill.

As a medical doctor with a passion for child development, women's health, and preventative care, she believes that the earliest years of life lay the foundation for a child's future.

What she loves most is building genuine relationships with families and creating a space where parents, nannies, and little ones feel supported, encouraged, and cared for.

When she's not working, you'll probably find her out for a run with her dog, curled up with a good book, or listening to Taylor Swift on repeat! She firmly believes life is better with a little pink and glitter—and brings that same warmth, positivity, and joy to every Nanny 'n Me session.

One of my biggest fears as a working mom?
