NEW ADMISSIONS: GRADE 8- ACADEMIC YEAR 2027

Please be informed that we have limited space for admission for Grade 8 next year.
Our feeder schools are Highstone, Redfern and Whetstone Primary Schools. Northmead Secondary can only accommodate 140 new learners, therefore the policy of first come, first serve will apply,.
This is to inform you that the final round of grade 8 admissions will take place at Northmead Secondary until 29 May 2026 before 13.00,
Once we have reached our capacity unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate vour child even though they may be from our feeder schools.
following are the requirements to be considered for admission:

1. All details on the admission form must be completed and include the following: Learner Birth Certificate • Parent/Guardians Identity Documents
- Proof of Address
- 1st Term Report
- Immigrants must produce proof of citizenship, date of entry into the country Admission Fee (Compulsory

2. The admission fee is R1500 which is part of the school fee. The schoo| fee for 2027 will be determined at the Budget Meeting in September. The school fees for 2026 is R2500

3. All learners are bound by the school code of conduct and uniform requirements.
An appeal is made to you to complete your admission as soon as possible, so as to secure your child / wards place.

Former Northmead Secondary School Afrikaans educator, Mrs K Reddy has passed on.

Her sacrifice, dedication and passion for the education of the learners of Northmead Secondary will forever be remembered by members of staff, learners and community members at large.

We will forever miss her calm and gentle personality. She was a woman of integrity, honesty and kindness.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Mrs. K. Reddy.

Teaching is far more than a job... it involves long hours, weekends, holidays, and countless sacrifices made in the best interests of our learners. To honour these efforts, The Phoenix Central Circut hosts its annual function to place a spotlight on educators who achieved a 100% passes in the National Senior Certificate examination.

We are incredibly proud to share that Northmead Secondary achieved a 100% pass rate in the NSC 2025 examinations. Adding to this remarkable achievement, one of our outstanding learners attained 7 distinctions with an impressive aggregate of 92%.

Yeagan has truly excelled in every aspect of school life — academically, in extra- and co-curricular activities, and in the way he carries himself. He is a well-balanced, respectful, and humble young man who embodies the values of Northmead Secondary.

We wish Yeagan every success as he embarks on his tertiary studies at UCT, and in all his future endeavours.

This Tuesday, the class of 2025 assembled, once again, at Northmead Secondary, for their statements of results. Our principal, Mrs M.S. Zuma, congratulated the learners and wished them well for the future. The Chairperson of Northmead's School Governing Body also shared a few words for the parents and learners who attended. The School Governing Body also provided refreshments as the learners waited for their results.
