Celebrating a Life Remembered

Amidst the heartbreak and tears, the school community came together in a beautiful display of school spirit, love, and unity to celebrate the life of their beloved peer. 🕊️🤍

Learners stood together, supporting one another and honouring a life that touched the hearts of many. Though the day was filled with sadness, it was also a reminder of the beautiful memories, friendships, and moments that will forever remain with them.

Today, Westham Secondary School did not only mourn a learner — they celebrated a life, a friend, a classmate, and a member of the school family.

A Heartbreaking Farewell

Today was one of the most heartbreaking days for our school community as we gathered to honour and remember one of our learners. 🕊️

The memorial service was filled with tears, memories, and a deep sense of loss. It is never easy to say goodbye to a young life filled with so much potential and promise.

As educators, learners, friends, and members of the school community, we mourn this painful loss together. May the memories shared today bring comfort to the family, friends, classmates, and teachers who knew and loved our learner.

Rest peacefully. You will forever remain a part of the Westham Secondary School family. 🕊️🤍

In Loving Memory of Sihle Slindelo Ndlovu

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that Westham Secondary School announces the passing of our beloved learner, Sihle Slindelo Ndlovu, from Grade 9D.

Sihle was a valued member of our school community, and his passing has left us deeply saddened. During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, classmates, teachers, and all those who knew and loved him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ndlovu family. May they find strength, comfort, and peace as they navigate this painful loss.

A special congratulations to Atisang Heisi and Amahle Mtshali from Grade 9 for their outstanding achievement and participation in the Speech Contest. Your confidence, dedication, and eloquence have made the school proud.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Mr S. Xolo, their English teacher, for his commitment, guidance, and countless hours spent preparing and mentoring these learners. Your support and dedication played a vital role in their success.

🚨👔 UNIFORM CHECK: TEACHERS EDITION! 👔🚨

Today, the Westham staff proved that school uniforms are not just for learners! 😄 From the perfectly tied navy ties to the neatly pressed uniforms, our teachers came dressed and ready to set the standard.

With a R50 fine waiting for anyone brave enough to ignore the dress code, it seems our educators decided that looking smart was much cheaper than contributing to the fundraising pot! 😂💸

The corridors were filled with double takes as learners tried to figure out who was a teacher and who was a learner. Some of our staff looked so youthful that they could have easily joined a Grade 12 class without anyone noticing! 🤣

One thing is for sure – when Westham teachers commit to something, they do it in style. Today’s uniform challenge was a huge success, bringing plenty of laughter, school spirit, and unforgettable memories.

A big shout-out to all our educators for embracing the fun, supporting the school’s fundraising efforts, and reminding everyone that school pride never goes out of fashion! 💙🤍
