A city speaks in many ways.
Jozi aMuse: Festival of Museums runs from 20 to 23 May 2026, with Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct listed as the main location and a curated citywide programme connecting Johannesburg’s museums, galleries, and cultural spaces.
The programme includes exhibitions, artist walkabouts, creative workshops, storytelling, music, and a City Sightseeing Bus journey through the city.
Museums are places where language, memory, identity, and public life meet. Through objects, archives, stories, images, and conversation, they help us understand how a city speaks across generations.
For language learners and professionals alike, this matters. Communication is never only about vocabulary. It’s also about context, culture, memory, and the ability to listen to different perspectives.
💙 How does your city speak to you?
