Kensio House simply wouldn’t be Kensio House without the incredible people who keep everything moving every single day. 💐

🌍 From Kensio House to the United Kingdom - meet Iseabel!

We're incredibly proud to share Iseabel Stoltz's story. Iseabel is one of our former students who completed her ATHE Level 3 Business Certificate at Kensio House, a qualification she found her way to after the traditional matric path didn't work out for her.

That decision has opened a door most people don't expect from a vocational qualification. Iseabel has earned the opportunity to travel to the United Kingdom this November on an educational trip exploring further study routes, as she works toward her dream of becoming a psychologist. 🎓✈️

Students on this trip are responsible for raising their own costs, and Iseabel is currently fundraising toward hers.

Stories like this are a good reminder of where an ATHE qualification can lead, and we hope, over time, more of our students get to walk a similar path.

Our Senior Phase learners truly shone as they hosted their very own Entrepreneur's Day!

From planning, budgeting, and marketing to selling at their stalls, they put everything they’ve been learning in Business Studies into practice. It was amazing to see their creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial spirit in action.

Thank you to all who supported them and made it a huge success. This mark will contribute towards their Business Studies term mark.

We are so proud of our young entrepreneurs! 👏💼

🌸 Happy National Women’s Day! 🌸

Today, 9 August, Kensio House celebrates the incredible women who inspire, nurture, lead, teach and make a difference every single day.
To the mothers, grandmothers, teachers, staff members, caregivers and young women within our Kensio family, thank you for the strength, compassion and resilience you bring to our community. 💙🩵

During Essential Life Skills lesson our AEP learners focused on basic stitching skills. They practised simple sewing techniques by repairing clothing items that had holes in them. The activity helped learners develop fine motor skills, patience and practical problem-solving abilities while promoting the “make-do and mend” approach. Learners were encouraged to thread needles use basic stitches and mend their own clothing items building independence and confidence in everyday life skills.

To honour Mandela Day, our Community Interact Team headed to House Zonnekus.

We brought goodies, we brought time, we brought care. From sitting and chatting to painting nails and sharing stories, small things that made big hearts smile.

🎉 Kensio House is celebrating 7 incredible years! 🎉

For seven years, we have had the privilege of supporting, guiding and celebrating each learner who has walked through our doors. We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff, supportive families and wonderful learners who have helped shape Kensio House into the special community it is today.

Here’s to seven years of growth, learning, courage, connection and changing limits. We look forward to many more years of opening minds and creating opportunities for every learner to thrive.
