Two of our learners recently competed at the Stellenbosch Regional Eskom Expo for Young Scientists, bringing home top honours for their groundbreaking research:

🥇 Milan achieved a Gold Result for her biomedical research on utilizing sea algae to produce a microfilm plaster tailored for perpetual, non-healing wounds.

🥇 Carla earned a Gold Medal and was named Category Winner in Physics, Astronomy, and Space Science for developing a reusable coffee enclosure—supported by extensive plastic analysis, material testing, and design refinement.

Seeing this level of critical thinking, dedication, and real-world problem-solving from our youth is beyond inspiring. Huge congratulations to both of you on this well-deserved recognition!

We are incredibly proud of our La Rochelle Girls' High School robotics teams for their outstanding performance at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Boland Regional Competition!
Our girls showcased exceptional technical skill, teamwork, and creativity, bringing home top honors across multiple categories:

Gelukkige verjaarsdag!
Namens die personeel, leerders en die beheerliggaam van HMS La Rochelle, wens ons vir jou ‘n baie geseënde en vreugdevolle verjaarsdag toe.

Ons 2de muurbalspan het hul laaste wedstryd van die seisoen teen Paul Roos Gimnasium gespeel. Hoewel die uitslag 2–1 in PRG se guns was, het ons meisies elke oomblik geniet en die seisoen met goeie gees afgesluit.

Baie dankie aan vir die goeie sportmanskap en vir die manier waarop julle altyd so mooi na die Larries omsien. Dit word opreg waardeer!

Soos oudergewoonte in Augustus het al ons Fransleerders ’n stukkie blou, wit of rooi gâteau gekry. Vanjaar is Marné Teubes (gr. 9) ons koningin nadat sy die versteekte skuifspeld gevind het.

Interhuis-tennis op sy beste!
Strawwe kompetise, aansteeklike gees! Ons Larries het hul huise met groot entoesiasme verteenwoordig.
Baie geluk aan PRIDE wat as die wenners van vanjaar se Interhuis-tennis gekroon is! Julle het jul naam gestand gedoen – PRIDE all the way!
Dankie aan elke speler wat bygedra het tot ’n heerlike dag van tennis, spanbou en gesonde kompetisie.

We are proud of Erin Jacobs, who represented South Africa on the international stage as a member of the outstanding Tygerberg Children’s Choir.

The choir, currently ranked 2nd in the world among children’s and youth choirs, was crowned champions at the prestigious Summa Cum Laude International Festival, achieving a remarkable Gold Level 3 – Masterful, the highest possible rating.
Competing against exceptional youth ensembles from across the globe, including groups from Canada and Austria, makes this achievement even more special.

Erin, you have made us exceptionally proud. Congratulations on this outstanding international achievement!
