🌸 Celebrating Women Who Inspire | Nasionale Vrouedag 🌸

In honour of National Women's Day, a group of our Grade 9O girls had the incredible privilege of attending Capitec's Accelerate Her Future – Women in STEM event, accompanied by Mrs. Petersen.

As representatives of Calling Education, our learners were inspired by remarkable women who are making a meaningful impact in the fields of technology, data and innovation. Through their stories of resilience, determination and leadership, our girls were encouraged to dream boldly, embrace challenges and recognise the limitless opportunities available to them.

Mrs. Petersen reflected on the experience by saying:
"It was an inspiring day filled with stories of resilience, innovation and leadership from women making a difference in technology and data. The event reminded us of the importance of creating opportunities for young people, especially young women, to dream big, pursue careers in STEM, and believe in their potential. We left feeling encouraged, motivated and excited to bring these valuable insights back to our learners as we continue to inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators."

Today, we also want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible women who make up the Calling Academy community.

A warm welcome back to all our learners, parents, guardians and staff! We hope everyone had a restful holiday and returned refreshed, ready to embrace all that this new term has to offer.

Term 3 is already off to an exciting start, filled with opportunities for our learners to grow academically, spiritually and personally.

From inspiring assemblies and our first Career Day of 2026 to mentorship sessions and hands-on learning experiences, there's so much happening around Paarl campus.

Over the coming days we'll be sharing some of the highlights from the start of the term, as well as a few exciting events still to come. We can't wait to take you along on the journey!

Do you have a heart for young people and a passion for helping them discover their God-given purpose?

Calling Academy Paarl is looking for a compassionate and committed Part-Time School Counsellor to join our growing team from August 2026.

At Calling Academy, we believe in developing learners academically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially within a Christ-centred environment. As our school continues to grow, we are looking for someone who shares our vision and values of
Purpose • Ownership • Gratitude.

What we're looking for:
✅ Qualified in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
✅ Registered with SACSSP, HPCSA, CCSA, or another recognised professional body
✅ Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
✅ Experience working with children or adolescents (school experience advantageous)
✅ Passionate about learner wellbeing and Christian education

The role includes:
• Individual and group counselling
• Early intervention and learner support
• Working closely with teachers and parents
• Referrals to external support services where required

🕒 4 hours per day, 2–3 days per week (negotiable)

Mr. Greyling, thank you for leading Calling Academy with steadfast faith, wisdom, humility, and vision. Your heart for Christian education is evident in everything you do. You continually remind us that a school is not only a place of academic growth, but a place where young people are discipled, encouraged, prayed for, and pointed toward Christ.

Thank you for the many unseen hours of prayer, the constant intercession for our learners, staff and broader community. Your leadership reflects the heart of a shepherd—serving faithfully, leading courageously, and always seeking God’s direction first.
