🏆❤️ **TODAY, WE DIDN’T JUST CELEBRATE A VICTORY… WE CELEBRATED A FAMILY.** ❤️🏆
Sometimes, a trophy is more than a trophy.
Sometimes, a victory is more than a score.
And sometimes, when you look back at the journey, you realise that the **greatest victory was never the final whistle… it was everything that happened before it.** ❤️
Today, the corridors and classrooms of **Windmeul Primary** carried a very special feeling.
Our Principal, **Mr. Owen Theunissen**, together with the staff, treated our learners to hotdogs and cooldrinks — a small gesture, but one filled with **so much love, appreciation and pride.** 🌭🥤❤️
And as our children enjoyed their treats, there was something much bigger being celebrated…
**THEM.**
Every child who put on the maroon and white. ❤️
Every child who stepped onto the field, onto the court, onto the track, or onto the stage.
Every child who stood proudly at the **Model Show**.
Every child who woke up, got dressed and attended the **Derby Church Service**, because they wanted to be part of something bigger than themselves. 🙏
Every child who ran until their legs were tired.
Every child who played through pressure.
Every child who cheered from the sidelines.
Every child who believed.
**Every child who represented Windmeul.**
Today, Mr. Theunissen personally expressed his gratitude to our learners and reminded them that their contribution **matters**.
And perhaps they don't realise it yet…
But one day, they will look back at these moments and understand that they were part of something truly special. ❤️
Because Derby wasn't simply about **winning**.
It was about **belonging**.
It was about wearing our colours with pride.
It was about standing together when things were difficult.
It was about hearing your teammates shout your name.
It was about coaches believing in children who sometimes doubted themselves.
It was about teachers giving their time.
It was about children discovering that they are capable of more than they ever imagined.
And speaking of our coaches…
❤️ **TO OUR COACHES — THANK YOU.**
Thank you for the hours nobody saw.
For the practices after school.
For the encouragement.
For the discipline.
For the patience.
For the moments you told a child, *“Try again.”*
For believing in them even when they were tired, nervous or uncertain.
You didn't just coach sport.
**You helped build character.**
And to our incredible staff…
Thank you for every little thing you did behind the scenes to make this Derby possible.
The planning.
The organising.
The cheering.
The supporting.
The worrying.
The celebrating.
The countless moments that nobody will ever know about.
**WE SAW IT. ❤️**
And to our learners…
Never forget this feeling.
Remember the noise.
Remember the excitement.
Remember the maroon and white.
Remember standing together.
Remember what it felt like to know that you were part of something.
Because trophies gather dust…
**but memories like these stay in your heart forever.** ❤️
Today, we celebrate a Derby victory.
But more importantly, we celebrate a group of children who showed **courage, determination, talent, sportsmanship and heart.**
We celebrate coaches who gave their all.
We celebrate teachers who cared.
We celebrate a Principal who took the time to say **thank you**.
And we celebrate a school that once again reminded us what happens when **a community stands together.**
🏆 **THE SCOREBOARD WILL SHOW WHO WON THE DERBY.**
❤️ **BUT OUR HEARTS WILL REMEMBER WHY WE WON.**
We won because we stood together.
We won because we believed.
We won because every child gave something.
We won because every coach gave something.
We won because every staff member gave something.
We won because **Windmeul showed up as ONE.**
And when the final whistle blew…
**it wasn't just a team that won.**
**IT WAS A FAMILY.** ❤️
To every learner, coach, staff member, parent, supporter and every person who stood behind Windmeul Primary:
**THANK YOU.**
This one belongs to all of us. 🏆❤️

**ONE SCHOOL.
ONE FAMILY.
ONE HEART.
ONE INCREDIBLE VICTORY.** ❤️🏆
**PROUDLY WINDMEUL. ALWAYS.** ❤️
