🌱 Growing more than vegetables at LEAP 7 Paarl 🌱

Our learners have been getting their hands dirty in the school garden planting, weeding, watering and harvesting together. 🥬🥕

But this garden is about more than learning to grow food. The vegetables our learners tend with such care go straight into the meals that feed them each day. Every seedling they plant helps nourish their classmates, their teachers and themselves.

Along the way, they're learning about science in action, the value of teamwork, responsibility and patience, and the pride that comes from seeing your hard work literally bear fruit. 🍅

A heartfelt thank you to M&G Investment for their generous support of our garden. Your partnership is helping our learners grow healthy food, new skills and a love for the land. 🙏

From soil to plate, this is LEAP learning at its best! 💚🧡

Heritage Day at LEAP 7 Paarl 🧡🖤🇿🇦

Today we invited our learners, parents and families to celebrate our heritage together, and what a day it was!

Dressed proudly in traditional attire, we sang, danced, cooked together and shared a meal side by side at one long table. 🍲✨

At LEAP, we live by ubuntu: umntu ngumntu ngabantu, a person is a person through other people. Our heritage lives not only in what we wear and eat, but in how we show up for one another. 🤝

Thank you to every family, educator and learner who made this a day filled with love, laughter, gratitude and pride. 💛

🌻Today we celebrate the women of LEAP Science & Maths Schools and every woman who shows up, stands strong, and keeps going, no matter what.

To our incredible teachers: you don’t just educate, you nurture, guide, and uplift. You are mothers to many, mentors, counsellors, and safe spaces for our learners.

To our young women and girl learners: you are the future we believe in bold, brave, and full of potential. Your voices matter, your dreams are valid, and your journey is just beginning.

To our women in Head Office: you are the backbone, ensuring our schools continue to thrive and grow.

To our board members and advisors: your leadership, wisdom, and guidance help shape the direction of our mission and keep us moving forward with purpose.

To our supporters, volunteers, and donors: your compassion and generosity make this work possible.

You wear many hats, teacher, mom, healer, leader often all in one day. Your strength does not go unnoticed. Your impact cannot be measured.

Because of you, futures are changed. Because of you, dreams are possible.
Today we honour you. We celebrate you. We thank you.

Happy Women’s Day to the phenomenal women of LEAP and to every woman making a difference in her own powerful way. 🧡🖤
Keep rising. Keep shining. The world is better because of you.
