The Mzansi Rugby League announced Old Boys player Thurlon Williams (2022) as their latest player signing.

A two-year Paarl Boys' High First XV fly-half, Thurlon helped Boishaai secure an unforgettable 26–24 victory over Paarl Gimnasium in the 2022 Interschools, calmly delivering the drop goal that ultimately separated the two sides.

That same year, he represented WP U18 at Craven Week, was recognised as Fly-half of the Year and Backline Player of the Year, and earned selection for the SA Schools U18 side.

On the international stage, Thurlon finished the 2022 U18 International Series as its leading points scorer with 33 points.

From there, the pathway continued:
* Lions U19, U20 and U21
* Junior Springboks in 2024
* Boland Cavaliers in the SA Cup and Currie Cup

Now, one of South African rugby’s most exciting young fly-halves has chosen the Mzansi Rugby League for the next chapter of his journey.

Good luck in the Mzansi Rugby League, Thurlon!

Paarl Boys' Primary, Paarl Boys' High and Paarl Boys' High Old Boys Union legend, Corne Krige (1993's 1XV Captain).

Known by the Newlands faithful as "Captain Courageous", he captained Paarl Boys' High’s 1XV, the WP, the Stormers, the Northampton Saints, the Old Boys Union, and the Springboks.

The first ever guy to be able to captain SA Schools and the Springboks.

Congratulations to Paarl Boys' Old Boys player, and Rabie Property Group Chairman, Leon Cohen, on being named Business Leader of the Year (Sakeleier van die Jaar) by Die Burger, the AHI, the Cape Town Chamber of Commerce and Netwerk24.

Leon was our 1XV Captain in 1972 and has never lost sight of what matters: doing things right, and building for people, not just for profit.

"A Born Leader", we're incredibly proud to celebrate him.

𝘿𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬?

On the 1996 tour, the fathers of Ethan Blackadder and our Old Boys player Francke Horn played against each other when the All Blacks faced Boland.

Earlier this week, Ethan and Francke went head to head at 10bet Ellis Park and swapped jerseys after the match.

Five of our Old Boys turned out for the Lions.
Captain Francke Horn, Quan Horn, SJ Kotzé, Sebastian Lombard, and Boeta Chamberlain!
