Autumn Reflections
April 19, 2026
A violin, flute and piano recital was just what we needed to warm up a rainy, Sunday afternoon in the heart of April. ππͺ
While on school holiday in the Cape, violinist, Olga Korvink and pianist, Bronwyn Raaths hosted a wonderful concert in aid of the FPMC Bursary Fund. Our very own, Matthew Lamprecht joined the talented duo on violin and flute. π»πͺπΉ
Thank you to our wonderful audience, and to Olga, Bronwyn and Matthew for sharing their time and talents. Many thanks to Mrs Inge Scott, for bringing everyone together, and dreaming up this special showcase of talent! πΆβ¨

External Exams Awards Ceremony
April 16, 2026
We proudly honoured the top achievers who participated in practical and theoretical external music examinations last year. ππΆ
Annually, our learners are enrolled in Trinity College of Music, ABRSM and UNISA external exams. For the last few years, we have hosted our own Internal/ External Examinations, to encourage more learners to participate in a similar exam setting.
At this yearβs ceremony, the audience enjoyed the talents of saxophonist, Adriaan Nel and pianist, Lukas de Villiers. π·πΉ
We extend our sincere gratitude to each dedicated educator and our community of parents/ guardians who are contributors to these wonderful successes!
Congratulations to all the recipients of 2025! ππΌβ¨
The Montreaux Jazz Festival
March 27 β 29, 2026
History was made in Franschhoek, when Montreaux met Africa in a celebration of the best global and local jazz talent! πβ¨
It was an exhilarating first and extraordinary experience for one of our talented drummers, Caleb Dlamini, who created unforgettable moments on stage. π₯ππΌ
Caleb Dlamini and Friends were selected to open the festival, and certainly set the tone, and energy for the creative offerings that followed.
Weβre exceptionally proud of this incredible highlight in Calebβs young career, and know that there will be many more in the future! πβ¨

March 23, 2026
One of our senior pianists, Lukas de Villiers was one of 12 finalists to participate in the prestigious Hennie Joubert Piano Competition, held at the Stellenbosch Konservatoriumβs Endler Hall. πΉπΆ
In its 16th year, the competition was filled with exceptional young pianists, nurtured by talented educators. Lukas is the first FPMC learner to enter and perform in this competition, and performed in the second and third rounds.
We are incredibly proud of Lukas and his dedication to all that he does. Thank you to his teacher, Mr Hadley Duminy for the exposure and experience gained on this platform. ππΌ
Congratulations to Lukas and his proud parents! We know that a brilliant and bright future is sure. π±β¨
Lea Prinsloo Solo Recital
March 22, 2026
The second solo recital in our series showcased Lea Prinslooβs multi-talents, as a violinist, pianist and vocalist, accompanied by violin teacher, Mr Hadley Duminy. πΆπ
Lea, a Grade 12 learner this year, beautifully brought Bach, Wieniawski and Seitz, among others, to life. The haunting theme from Schindler's List by John Williams, a known favourite, tickled the spines...
We are grateful to the many influential teachers and proud parents who have shaped this young, talented woman over many years.
And we are exceptionally proud of the confidence, tenacity and tenderness that Lea greets us with this year, and know that a dazzling future is certainly up ahead! πβ¨
