THE GATE
Every property has a gate.
The gate gives you choices:
✅️Open.
✅️Close.
✅️Wait.
✅️Not today.
Boundaries does not mean "shutting people out".
They're about YOU deciding who gets access, when they get access and how much access they get.
Discernment is key💚

DUMPING
Imagine someone enters your property and dumps his/her garbage on your lawn. You would be upset. It would be unacceptable to you.
BUT we often let other people dump their drama, anger, their responsibilities and entitlement issues onto our emotional property.
Not everything someone brings to you belongs to you💚

PROPERTY BOUNDARIES
Have you ever noticed that every property has boundaries?
Whether it's a wire fence, vibracrete or survey pegs, every property has a point where it start and where it ends.
No one argues with this.
Your neighbour doesn't mow your lawn. That is your responsibility. You don't paint your neighbour's house. That is their responsibility.
The boundary simply addresses this issue:
This portion of land and this house belongs to me and that portion of land with its house belongs to someone else.
Here's something to think about:
If we understand property boundaries so well...
Why do we struggle so much with personal boundaries?

BEING IN TWO PLACES AT THE SAME TIME
This weekend stretched me in the best possible way…I showed up in two places at the same time.
In one space, I stood in person with young working adults and tertiary students from the Boland Annual Conference, Board of Christian Education, creating room for honest reflection, real conversations and intentional action planning for their lives.
In another, I showed up virtually - through a guided online experience, a thoughtfully designed worksheet and audio support — walking the Worcester Junior Council from ideas to meaningful, actionable impact for the year ahead.
Same day and time. Different spaces. Same purpose. Insight and Empowerment.
And what struck me most?
The possibility.
The realization that impact is no longer limited by location, time or format.
This weekend didn’t just expand my reach…it expanded my thinking.
Now I’m asking myself - and maybe you too:
Where in your life are you still thinking too small about what’s possible?

OVERTHINKING PATTERNS
We all have a pattern…
The one we default to when things feel uncertain.
🖤Worry
💛Self-doubt
🤎Rumination.
💙Self-criticism.
💚Comparison.
It feels like protection, even productive -
but it might be the very thing keeping you stuck and making you feel negative and anxious.
Which one have you caught yourself doing lately?

HIGH STANDARDS
You’re a very competent professional.
You lead a team.
You carry complex responsibilities.
People trust your judgement and look to you for direction.
And yet, sometimes (all the time?) a little voice appears...
“Did I consider everything?”
“Am I making the right decision?”
“What if...?”
It’s a paradox.
The more capable and responsible you are, the more you tend to think things through.
And then that careful thinking somehow turns into doubt.
Not because you lack ability.
But because you care deeply about doing things well and holding yourself to a high standard.
Question:
Have you ever noticed that even when others clearly see your competence, you still question yourself?
What is the cost thereof to you?

YOUR MIND NEVER SWITCHES OFF
Some professionals carry an invisible weight.
Their mind never switches off.
Even after the workday ends, the thinking continues.
Decisions.
Conversations.
What they should have said.
What they still need to solve.
From the outside they look calm, competent and in control.
Inside, their mind is still working overtime.
They learnt the habit of thinking about their thinking.
But carrying this invisible weight can be mentally exhausting.
Question:
Does your mind also continue working overtime long after your day is over?
