💙 A Heartfelt Thank You! 💙

Our hearts are filled with lots of gratitude.

Because of the incredible generosity of very kind donors, Hlumelo Educare Centre has successfully completed our electrical installation. What was once an unsafe electrical system with exposed wiring and faulty sockets has now been transformed into a safe, reliable, and secure environment for our children and staff.

This project would not have been possible without Silvana, who helped us coordinating this project over the past few months and facilitated with all the financial contributions, which came from these amazing supporters:

🇿🇦 Mandela Day 2026 – Reflecting on a Day of Service ❤️

On Friday, Hlumelo Educare Centre proudly spent our 67 minutes giving back to our community in honour of Nelson Mandela’s legacy.

We were blessed to distribute sandwiches to community members, sharing not only food but also kindness, hope, and compassion. It was heartwarming to see so many smiles and to be able to make a small difference in the lives of those around us.

A sincere thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this initiative. Your generosity made it possible for us to serve our community with love.

💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to Birgit💙

The Hlumelo Educare family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Birgit for her incredibly generous donation of a king-sized bed mattress, washing machine, and dishwasher to our centre.

As an inclusive learning centre, we are committed to providing a safe, caring, and supportive environment where every child is valued and given the opportunity to learn and thrive. Donations like these make a significant difference in helping us create the best possible environment for our children.

The washing machine and dishwasher will greatly assist us in maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, while the king-sized bed mattress will provide much-needed comfort within our centre. Your thoughtful contribution will positively impact the daily lives of our children and staff for years to come.

Your kindness, generosity, and belief in our mission inspire us and remind us of the incredible difference that community support can make.

Hlumelo Educare Centre & Aftercare would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the donors who generously donated clothes for our Market Day which was held on 8 November 2025. Your kindness made a meaningful impact.

A special thank you to our parents, community members, and everyone who came out to support us on the day — your presence, purchases, and encouragement truly meant so much to us.

We are proud to share that through the Market Day, we successfully raised funds to build our gas cage, and it has now been completed. This is a big milestone for our centre and a true reflection of what we can achieve together.

Today our ECD Centre had the joy of distributing stationery to our aftercare children 📚✏️
Seeing their smiles reminded us how powerful support and kindness can be in shaping young futures.

What an amazing day we had celebrating Christmas together at the centre on the 5th of December 2025! The kids had an absolute blast bouncing around on the jumping castle, and their smiles were priceless as they each received a special Christmas gift. 🎁💫

Our market day was a huge success and way beyond our expectations!!

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful donors, both here in South Africa and overseas, for your generosity and all the beautiful clothes and contributions. Your kindness made a real difference and helped us bring smiles to so many faces with different ages…

And to everyone from our community and beyond who came out to support us — whether you shopped, volunteered, or simply shared a kind word — we couldn’t have done it without you! Your presence and energy made the day truly special.

We will be purchasing the material for the cage around our gas cylinder shortly and share an update on the installation.
