What an exciting start to the Nieuwe Drift vs Windmeul Derby Clash! 🖤❤️
🏃‍♀️ Day 1: Nieuwe Drift came out strong and proudly took the Cross Country victory! 🏆👏
⚽ Day 2: The excitement continued on the soccer field, where both schools fought hard and finished with a 1–1 draw! 🤝⚽
Two days filled with determination, teamwork, sportsmanship and incredible school spirit! 💪🔥
Well done to all our athletes and players who represented their schools with pride. We are looking forward to the rest of the Derby Clash!

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of our beloved Grade 2 learner, Cyntino Malan.
Cyntino was a sweet, loveable boy who touched the hearts of everyone at Nieuwe Drift Primary School. He greeted everyone with a warm smile and brought joy wherever he went. His gentle spirit and friendly nature will always be remembered by his teachers, classmates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Malan family, friends, classmates, and all who are grieving this great loss.
May we continue to keep his loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
Rest softly, dear Cyntino. You will forever remain part of the Nieuwe Drift family. 🕊️

Celebrating one of our own! ✨
We are incredibly proud to welcome back Lilitha Eze, a former learner of Nieuwe Drift Primary School and now a Miss Teen Universe South Africa 2026 Finalist. 👑🇿🇦
Lilitha has chosen our school as a beneficiary for the duration of her competition journey, giving back to the very place where her own journey began. Through her beautiful initiative, she aims to make a meaningful difference by sponsoring 10 learners from Grades 5, 6, and 7 with free eye tests and glasses, helping them see a brighter future—literally and figuratively. 👓✨
Her generosity, leadership, and commitment to uplifting others is a inspiration to our school community. We are honoured that she has chosen to invest in our learners and remind them that with determination and heart, anything is possible.
Thank you, Lilitha, for remembering your roots and for making a lasting impact at Nieuwe Drift. We are cheering you on every step of the way and wish you all the best in your Miss Teen Universe South Africa journey! ❤️🖤
