Long before education became our business, education was already part of our family.
This certificate is 95 years old.
And written across it, by hand, is the name of our grandmother:
FAITH KHAN.
This was 1931.
Before she was a married woman.
Before she carried the surname Rai.
Before the formal system of apartheid was introduced in South Africa.
And more than six decades before apartheid would finally end and South Africa would hold its first democratic election.
Faith Khan was a young Indian woman attending Centenary Rd Girls in Natal.
In July 1931, she was awarded a Certificate of Merit at the Natal Indian Schools’ Arts & Crafts Exhibition in Durban, receiving Second Prize for Dress Making.
For our family, this is not simply an old certificate.
It is a testament to where we come from.
At a time when the educational opportunities available to girls and women — particularly Indian girls and women in colonial Natal — were constrained by both the society and the racial inequalities of the period, our grandmother was pursuing an education.
She was learning.
She was developing a skill.
She was participating.
She was achieving.
And she was doing all of this as Faith Khan — a young woman whose life, marriage and the Rai family name that would later become part of her story were still ahead of her.
There is something profoundly meaningful to us about seeing her maiden name preserved on this certificate almost a century later.
Because it tells us that the importance our family places on education did not begin with Dynamic Learning Methods.
It was already there.
It was carried from one generation to another.
And in 1990, that belief took another form when Dynamic Learning Methods was established.
Today, in 2026, we continue that legacy.
When parents entrust us with the education of their child, we understand what they are placing in our hands.
Not simply tuition.
Not simply a set of marks.
But a child’s potential, opportunities and future.
We hold that responsibility dear because our own history reminds us what education can mean across generations.
1931 — Faith Khan: learning, developing and achieving.
1990 — Dynamic Learning Methods was established.
2026 — We continue the legacy.
Before she carried the name Rai, the legacy had already begun.
Long before education became our business, education was already part of our family.

PARENTS, THE TIME TO PREPARE IS NOW.
With examinations approaching, this is not the time for learners to leave gaps in Mathematics, Physical Sciences or Life Sciences until the last minute.
DLM is now focusing intensively on these key subjects — revising difficult concepts, working through past papers and preparing learners for the standard of questions they will face in their examinations.
If your child is struggling, uncertain in certain sections, or simply needs stronger preparation, do not wait until examination results reveal the gaps.

36 Years of Academic Excellence. Trusted Since 1990.
In a world where everything is becoming digital, one thing has never changed: the value of personal guidance, real accountability, and face-to-face learning.
At Dynamic Learning Methods, we’ve spent 36 years helping learners build confidence, strengthen understanding, and achieve outstanding academic results. Since 1990, parents have trusted us because we know that education is about more than simply watching lessons on a screen—it’s about mentorship, encouragement, discipline, and ensuring every learner truly understands the work.
Technology has transformed education, but it has not replaced the power of quality teaching.
While online learning offers convenience, on-site learning provides something invaluable—immediate interaction, structured routines, fewer distractions, personalised support, and genuine accountability. Learners can ask questions in real time, receive instant feedback, develop stronger study habits, and stay motivated in a focused academic environment.
Our small classes allow us to identify learning gaps early, tailor our teaching to each learner, and prepare students with confidence for examinations. We continue to offer both on-site and online tuition, giving families flexibility while ensuring every learner receives the support they need.
For 36 years, our commitment has remained unchanged:
• Building confidence.
• Improving performance.
• Unlocking potential.
• Delivering academic excellence.
When choosing a tuition centre, experience matters. Thirty-six years of proven results cannot be downloaded—they are earned through decades of dedication, expertise, and thousands of learner success stories.
Invest in your child’s future with a tuition centre that has stood the test of time.
