Story by Molapane Billy who was graduating at University of Limpopo.

Today I stand as an LLB graduate and a candidate attorney, but my journey was far from perfect.
I completed my matric in 2013 with a diploma pass and went on to study engineering at college. A year and a half later, I realized that path wasn’t for me. I stopped everything related to education and felt stuck… until 2018, at age 24, when I made a life changing decision: to go back to school and rewrite my matric as a full-time high school learner.
Through determination and belief, I came back stronger and earned a bachelor admission pass. I then started my LLB journey, a 5-year extended programme. My first year? I failed. And I carried that silently, with people at home believing in me even when I doubted myself.
But that failure became my turning point.
I pushed harder. I kept going. Even when I failed two modules in my final year and had to extend my degree to 7 years. I refused to quit.
And today, I made it.
To the young man or woman out there: it is NEVER too late. Your journey will not look like anyone else’s, and that’s okay. What matters is the decision to start, the courage to continue, and the strength to rise every time you fall.
I was 24 when I chose to begin again, and that decision changed my life.
Believe in your power to create change. Your story is still being written.

Tebogo's "Mqwebu" Shabangu's death is painful because he was a promising young leader with a bright future ahead of him. He was disciplined, hardworking, and contributed to his community through education. His death, especially as it was violent or untimely, has caused grief and frustration among his loved ones and community, who had high hopes for his potential to make a positive impact. The pain is also compounded by the fact that his family had expectations of him improving their situation, which he might have achieved with his education and leadership.

This communique serves to inform you that we have lost one of our leader by the name Tebogo Shabangu known as Mqwebu. He was one of our leader who contributed immensely in helping others reach their academic potential. He used to be with us when we assist our fellow matriculate with applications to Tertiary.

We apologies for informing you at this time . We were informed yesterday.

Today at 18:00, there is a candle lights prayer that will take place in his home.

We would appreciate if you can put his family in your prayers. A special visit will be arranged with the family after the funeral since it will be held tomorrow.
