From the pages of scripture — where David faced Goliath and Esther stood for her people —
To the streets of Soweto in 1976…
To the protests at Pretoria Girls High, where hair and language became a symbol of resistance…
To , where campuses became battlegrounds for justice…
History reminds us: when young people are determined and empowered, they make the world stand up and listen.
They challenge systems.
They shift narratives.
They change the future.
This Youth Day, let’s do more than remember. Let’s invest in spaces, platforms, and policies that allow our young people to realise their full potential.
Because the world doesn’t change in silence. It changes when the youth rise.
