Musa’s Five-Wicket Haul Propels Lincoln Heights Secondary to Top of the Log

Lincoln Heights Secondary School delivered a commanding T20 performance on Thursday afternoon - 10 September 2026, dismantling Vryheid High School by five wickets to cement their place at the top of the table.

Winning the toss and electing to bat at 14:00, Vryheid High immediately found themselves in deep trouble against a ruthless Lincoln Heights bowling attack. Vryheid was bundled out for a meager 77 runs in just 14.3 overs.

Devastating Bowling Display

The main destroyer was star bowler Muhammad Musa, whose fiery spell earned him Man of the Match honors.

Musa picked up an outstanding 5 for 25 in 3.3 overs, completely breaking the back of Vryheid’s batting lineup.

Musa was backed up by an exceptionally tight spell from Sahil Bhula, who strangled the scoring with figures of 3 for 6 in his full 4 overs.

All-rounder Waleed Ghafoor chipped in with 2 for 29, while also putting on a fielding masterclass by holding onto four brilliant catches to keep Vryheid on the back foot.

Swift Chase secures the summit

Chasing 78 for victory, Lincoln Heights made light work of the target, reaching 78/5 in just 8.1 overs.

Abdurrahman Manjra led the charge with an explosive 37 runs, putting LHS firmly in control of the chase.

Supporting contributions from Waleed Ghafoor (12) and Domnick Moodley (6) ensured Lincoln Heights crossed the finish line with ease.

The emphatic victory capstones a brilliant campaign so far, leaving Lincoln Heights proudly standing at the top of the log.
